UPCOMING NIGHT- 24TH MAY.
UPCOMING NIGHT- 24TH MAY.
Rouge is a pop-up strip club with an ethical twist. We are holding monthly events downstairs in Renoirs which are fully worker-run and worker-led. We have all the things a traditional club would have (minus the exploitative working conditions!) including: topless lap dances; fully nude VIPs and pole shows. We operate as a cooperative model, putting power back into workers’ hands.
So come down on our next night and get a dance (or many)!

Customer FAQs
-
A co-op is a business that is ran by its members with shared risk and reward. All earnings are pooled together and split equally among workers, meaning a dance for one is a dance for all! This model of solidarity encourages collaboration and working together as a collective.
We have taken huge inspiration from Cybertease and Sex & Rage.
This differs greatly from traditional clubs who mostly operate on a wage theft model and create exploitative working conditions. Some unfair and illegal systems include: extortionate house fees (workers have to pay to work); arbitrary fees and fines; unsightly commission split on dances; overbooking workers (encouraging in-fighting as a way to divide to oppress their workforce); poor treatment and discrimination as well as baseless dismissals. This often makes strippers a highly precarious and marginalised workforce. So this event is for any dancer who is sick of clubs taking advantage of us and any customer who wants to support more ethical adult entertainment spaces.
Ultimately, we aim to eventually build towards something akin to Sexplicit’s model, where base wages are guaranteed. But given our limited resources and regularity of Rouge, we are happy to present it as a co-op effort.

Most of our dancers will be locals, previous Rouge dancers and unionised strippers. Each event we will have a mix of resident dancers and some special guests here and there! You can keep an eye on our socials for who will be working.
We welcome strippers from all different backgrounds with an effort to include workers at the margins.
If you’re a stripper who is interested in joining us, there’s more information on that below!
-
Absolutely anyone who respects our space and workers! We get a variety of clientele in strip clubs and all our strippers want to make you feel comfortable. We give an especially warm welcome to queer and femme folks.
Rouge is perfect for a solo adventure, group activity or a date night!
Stripping services are for everyone.

We want to help you understand how to best support our dancers, so here’s our dos and don’ts.
Respect The Dancers
Do respect our dancer's time. Only spend time talking to a dancer if you are interested in purchasing their services. If you're not interested, be polite in your refusal.
Do encourage your dancer to move on to the next customer once you've had your fill.
Ask and respect our dancer’s pronouns.
Please only refer to dancer by their dancer name.
Do not take pictures or videos of our dancers.
Respect our dancer's physical boundaries. Rouge is strictly no touching and our dancers may implement further boundaries which make them feel comfortable.
Respect dancer's work/personal boundaries. Do not ask dancers for their personal details, e.g. real name, phone number etc. Avoid invasive or offensive questions. Unless you're tipping and the dancer consents, don't ask triggering questions about the job.
Treat dancers with the utmost kindness and respect at all times!
Buy Dances
Please only attend our night if you intend on buying a dance- it is a strip club after all! We encourage you to be generous and buy lap dances. If you can only afford one dance that’s completely cool by us and we thank you for supporting our space in any way.
Lap dances start at £20 for one dance. The more you spend, the longer and dirtier your dance will be! Options and prices are below.
You are very welcome to get lap dances with your friends and you can also take more than one dancer at a time.
We encourage you to bring cash. Card machines are available, but a small card charge will be added to cover card processing fees.
Pole Shows
As well as lap dances, you can request for dancers to go on pole the pole and perform a show for you! Chat to our dancers about their prices for this, with a minimum spend of £20. You can pay for this either with dance tokens or through our tipping dollars so you can make it rain on the strippers! There will be money guns you can rent on the night too if you want to experience that rapid fire love.
Tip our Dancers
We highly encourage tipping with cash to show your support and show you enjoyed your dance!
It is the dancer’s choice whether they contribute their cash tips to the co-op pool or keep it for themselves.
We recommend £5-£10 per single lap dance. This is a suggestion and we would rather you still get just a lap dance if you can’t afford to tip on top.
Dress Code
Please be mindful of how you are dressing in order to respect our workers. We don’t want to police others’ clothing choices, however, it’s important that there’s a distinction between customers and dancers. Avoid wearing clothes which could be interpreted as dancer wear, for example: bikini tops; thongs; stripper heels etc.
Do not attempt to take your own clothes off- leave the stripping to the strippers!
How to Behave in a Dance
Maybe it's your first time getting a lap dance, maybe you are well versed in the language of lappies! We understand if anyone feels a bit shy or is unsure on how to act when receiving a dance. Getting a lappie should absolutely be a fun experience where you can sit back and enjoy the ride! Our dancers’ aim is to help you feel at ease (as well as hot under the collar), so follow their lead.
Other than not touching your dancer, it’s important that you listen to what they say in your dance if they are putting other boundaries in place and/or giving you instructions to help you enjoy your time more.
Try to sink into the vibe that your dancer is curating for you. You may be compelled to smile, scream and clap or sit back and smoulder. Any reaction you have is completely normal and we encourage you to go with the flow and enjoy it.
Other
Please do not dance on the pole or on eachother, as this is for workers only.
We encourage you to educate yourself about the job to best respect the workers.
We know approaching a dancer is sometimes a little nerve wracking, we encourage you to go for it and speak to who you like! All our dancers are super friendly and want to help you come out of your shell if you’re feeling a bit shy.
Anyone who does not follow our rules and etiquette will be asked to leave the venue without a refund and may be subject to a permanent ban.
Enjoy Yourself!
We are all here to have a good time! Our dancers love what they do and love respectful customers. Visiting a strip club should be an exciting adventure; allow the dancers to sweep you up in their magical fantasy land!

You can register your interest through our form! Basic information is on there, we will provide more information to selected workers.
We are only currently hiring strippers with prior strip club experience.
Please note we are currently being very restrictive with hiring and we won’t reply to all applications due to the ongoing nature of the event- wait for us to get in touch with you.
Rouge’s History
Rouge was once a fully licensed Sexual Entertainment Venue for many years. Just before the pandemic, Rouge didn’t opt for renewal and closed its doors, while Renoirs remained as a bar and nightclub. Fast forward to 2024, Sugar, an ex-Rouge dancer, kickstarted Rouge back up again as a monthly event. Sugar decided to take a step back and passed the torch over to Gemma mid-2025. Gemma is highly enthusiastic about taking over Rouge and providing space to local dancers and customers with an alternative strip club model. It is Gemma’s hope to elevate stripper’s working conditions, welcome a wider base of clientele and enrich Rotherham’s night-time economy. Maybe one day, we can look towards a full time worker-ran club with an SEV license…
